The Stitches sculptures are part of the South Corridor Infrastructure Sculpture project. These two pieces mark the entrance to the light rail transit stop. Each sculpture is 16’ tall, approximately 30” in diameter at the widest point, and fabricated from bent and welded stainless steel rods, 1/2” and 1” in diameter. The sculptures are illuminated from the inside with a HID up light, as well as by three in-ground fixtures located around the base. The articulated stainless rods catch and reflect the light in the day and change again when illuminated at night.
