Cliff Garten participated in FORM magazine's panel titled "Infrastructure: The intersection of design, engineering and imagination" and discussed bringing art to large-scale infrastructure as a way of improving the urban landscape. Other panelists included Leigh Christy (Senior Associate, Perkins+Will), Michael Bohn (Principal, Studio One Eleven), and Deborah Weintraub (L.A. Bureau of Engineering). The panel discussion was moderated by Jack Skelley (Senior Partner, Paolucci Communication Arts) and explored important issues related to infrastructure, focusing on regional examples, such as the Friends of the Los Angeles River's Piggyback Yard Conceptual Master Plan created with the PBy Collaborative Design Group, among other projects.
